Ovia welcomes Ben Shucksmith as Area Sales Manager for the Yorkshire & East Midlands Region

Ovia, part of Scolmore Group, is pleased to announce the appointment of Ben Shucksmith as Area Sales Manager for the Yorkshire and East Midlands region, enhancing support for customers across the area.

Ben brings extensive industry experience to the role, with a 20-year career within the electrical wholesale sector. During this time, he worked as both a Lighting Engineer and a Business Development Manager for a leading UK manufacturer. He also previously served as an Area Sales Manager for ESP, another Scolmore Group company, giving him valuable insight into the Group’s product portfolio, customer base, and routes to market. This combination of technical and commercial expertise has given him a strong understanding of lighting design, customer requirements, and account development, providing an excellent foundation for his new position.

In his new role with Ovia, Ben will focus on developing opportunities across the electrical wholesale and contractor markets throughout Yorkshire and the East Midlands. Combining strategic account management with technical lighting design support, he will work closely with customers to deliver compliant, energy-efficient, and commercially effective lighting solutions, while helping to increase awareness of the Ovia brand.

Ben's industry knowledge and technical expertise will enable him to provide valuable support to customers across the territory as Ovia continues to strengthen its presence within the market.
